She wants to get a hysterectomy, but then she would have to take hormones after that. Since you can’t take any medicine while on Plavix would she be able to take hormones?

My mom had a stent put in her mesenteric artery which had become blocked due to her arterosclerosis. She is taking plavix to avoid blockage and protonix for acidity, bloating and other discomforts. She has read about the medical controversy that protonix can inhibit the effectiveness of plavix, but her doctors have not heard of this. She is very concerned.

About 5 days ago I started taking fexofenadine (180mg) that my doctor prescribed me. It’s common brand name is Allegra.

I’ve become more drowsy and irritable since taking it. It’s also difficult for me to focus, especially when I’m multitasking. My mom thinks it’s the medicine that’s causing it, especially since I can get easily drowsy from something like Benadryll.

I’ve read the medicine info on the package and on the Allegra website and it only mentions dizziness as a side effect and says it shouldn’t cause drowsiness. I have to take the medicine for 5 more days but the next 5 days are exams. Is it the medicine that’s causing this? And should I stop taking it like my mom has adviced me to?
Oh and I’m 15 if that helps.

she has lived with fibermyalgia for over 6 years and takes somas and vicoden’s and other pain killers to help her live with the disease, She hasn’t been able to find a doctor who will help her TREAT the disease instead of masking the pain temporarily and she’s finally being started on disability. Anybody know any home rememdies besides massages or any advice that’s helpful? I feel so bad for her and I hate seeing her like this. Everyone (especially her boss) underestimates fibermyalgia and the pain she’s in. =(

i am 22 years old, i have had fibermyalgia for a few years, my mom also has it. It can make my knees so bad i can’t walk some days. i have had in in one shoulder and upper arm as well as what feels like my breast and ribs on the same side for about 6 months. just recently i learned about costochondritis, i think that may be the problem, it hurts when i breathe too deeply, lift, move, etc. But this pain is only ever very bad for a day or two and then goes back to being a dull ache again. Can the attacks be that short and only about once a week?? Does anyone have any pain relief tips, tylenol and heat don’t do much at all.
