About 5 days ago I started taking fexofenadine (180mg) that my doctor prescribed me. It’s common brand name is Allegra.

I’ve become more drowsy and irritable since taking it. It’s also difficult for me to focus, especially when I’m multitasking. My mom thinks it’s the medicine that’s causing it, especially since I can get easily drowsy from something like Benadryll.

I’ve read the medicine info on the package and on the Allegra website and it only mentions dizziness as a side effect and says it shouldn’t cause drowsiness. I have to take the medicine for 5 more days but the next 5 days are exams. Is it the medicine that’s causing this? And should I stop taking it like my mom has adviced me to?
Oh and I’m 15 if that helps.

I’m pretty sure the Ibuprofen is a blood thinner but not sure about the rest..

it has 60 mills of fexofenadine and 120 mills of pseudoephedrine so can you get “high” off of it? how many should it take?

someone who i am very close to has to take fexofenadine(Allegra) for his allergies. he’s tried other allergy meds but hasn’t found any that work for him. the problem is that the Allegra makes him feel dizzy, upset stomach, blurred vision and out of reality..like in a fog. this is beginning to get very troublesome and is making him feel depressed. he would like to not take it, but if he stops the meds, he gets a sinus infection within days because his allergies are so bad. does anyone have any suggestions? he tried Claritin but it didn’t work for him..he still got a sinus infection.

Last night around 10 pm I took one, and then again this morning at 9 am. At 10 pm today I took a store brand for Claritin D (loratadine 10mg + PSEUDOEPHEDRINE 280 mg).

would that be enough to overdose?
I have an appointment at an allergy specialist the 31st. I know I shouldnt be messing around with this stuff, but I really cant function well without taking that much.

My doctor is as idiot and just keeps changing my perscription when I complain. Definitely changing docs ASAP and going to the specialist.

I read on wikipedia that rats tested with fexofenadine up to 800mg had no reaction, but im not a rat
Perhaps theres someone out there with experience pertaining to my question & bad seasonal allergies.

I take Fexofenadine (generic for Allegra I think) for seasonal allergies, such as rhinitis. There are a few in my prescription bottle that I got filled 8 months ago… can I take them…. are they less effective now that they are not fresh?

I went to the parmacy the other day looking for an Alegra D over the counter subsitue. Since Alegra D costs 100 bucks for 30 pills. She told me to get some alergy medicine with Fexofenadine in it which is the active ingrediant in Allegra D.
