What are the latest treatments for psoriasis? Has anyone found anything that helps?

Mrs P asked:

Well, my psoriasis is manifesting it’s scaley presence over my limbs again. (It’s summer! How weird!- normally it’s better then)

Has anyone found anything that actually works to get rid of the skin problems?
(I know you can’t get rid of having the psoriasis itself)
I’m getting married early next year, and would rather not have to walk down the aisle with big red welts on my arms and face.

Try avocado flesh. I have psoriasis on my knees, and I rub avocado on it (I prefer the smooth-skin avocado). Old fashioned calomine lotion also helps for night-time relief (and won’t turn your pillow green like avocado will). Petroleum jelly is a useful barrier cream that helps the dead skin to loosen without splitting.

Ultra-violet light also helps. It’s available free in sunlight (that’s why it’s better in summer), so get out there! You might want to consider artificial UV; but take great care if you have pale skin.

Aloe Vera. Use it as a cream on the skin surface and as a drink to build up your antibodies and strengthen you up from inside. Use natural products on your skin, not any petrochemical stuff.

Avoid anything artificially sweetened with aspartame or anything with MSG as these are both neurotoxins that irritate the skin.

    Good Luck.

I had it for quite a few years before I cured it by accident.
The cure I found was, sea salt. A cupfull in the bath every night and it was gone in less than two weeks. I’d had an operation which required me taking the salt baths to get rid of disolvable stitches and that’s how I discovered the cure. I must add that I was also using the creams and sprays as recommended by my doctor.
Good luck and best wishes for your wedding.

I’m sorry to hear you have this problem. My wife has had a type of psoriasis for many years but luckily it is sensitive to UVL, so we make sure we are out in the sun as much as possible and take mediterranean holidays.

The problem that I have is that I don’t know what kind of psoriasis you have and what brings it out. It sounds like you might have ‘tear drop’ psoriasis which is caused by minor infections. I notice you say that it has come out in the summer which is usually good for it - but I’m guessing.
Here is a good, reliable link that may have some information that could be useful to you, well, more useful than aloe vera (which is the most overrated plant in creation).

I hope you get back to a good patch real soon.

I can tell you what causes it, psoriasis occurs because of a thinning of the walls of the intestines, the intestines filter out the toxins from your body through your bowels.when the walls of the intestines start to thin or are affected, the toxins escape into the body they have nowhere to go exept through the skin. there are some ways to get rid of the red lesions on the skin, and scalp, one being cuticura ointment, the other resinol ointment. Also laxitives, and the like to flush out the toxins from the system. The diet plays an important part also, if you want to know about this just write me and i’ll give you details but you must heal the intestines first i can tell you what to take naturally to heal this. As for psoriasis on the scalp, pine tar shampoo, and crude oil ,not motor oil— yes” crude oil! all these things can be found very cheap to heal yourself.

I have battled Psoriasis all my life. After using everything under the sun to help my condition, I learned years later that the issue cannot be solved from anything you put on it. It can be relieved by proper moisturization, but the immune system has to be kicked in as well as the inflammation of the skin as well as the joints has to be brought down. I will let you know the combination of the 2 best products that I have ever used to control the condition internally. One is a product called “Reishi Mushroom” and the company name is New Chapter. You can generally find it at any GNC. As well, I use the Essentials pack for my immune system and the Procosa product for inflammation. I am a former bodybuilder that dealt with major joint pain. It would have been alot worse for me if I hadn’t have started using this product. Psoratic Arthritis is not a nice thing. Check out this site if you want information or want to order the Essentials and Procosa.
There is no known cure for Psoriasis, but you can live life without having to suffer too much from it.
